Markham Concert Band - Concert Sundays

A big thank you to everyone who came out to hear the Markham Concert Band’s show at the Millennium Bandstand in Unionville on September 25th!

After a rainy start to the day the skies finally started to clear about an hour before the show and the sun even started peaking through to highlight the beautiful fall colours. But alas the rain clouds had other ideas and about half way though the concert the rain started to pour! The audience gathered under the bandshell in and amongst the band to stay dry, and we were able to finish out the show. Instead of theatre in the round we had music in the round, haha.

I had such a fun time dusting off two of my favourite musical theatre pieces to sing with the band, “Embraceable You” and “Popular” from Wicked … it was blast getting back into character again!

A big thank you to the Markham Concert band for having me, it was such such a pleasure getting to rehearse and perform with them! And another big thank you to everyone who gathered under the bandshell to brave the rain watch the whole show, it was soggy but fun!!

I am also excited to announce that I will be back to join The Markham Concert Band again for their Christmas Show on Sunday, December 4th at 2pm at Flato Markham Theatre! I will post more details on tickets as the show gets closer. A big thank you to them for asking me back. This time we’ll be inside so no risk of rain, haha :)
